What Are Dental Bridges?

A traditional Dental Bridge consists of a false tooth or teeth held together by dental crowns cemented to the abutment teeth. This is the most popular type of bridge but other bridge types are; cantilever dental bridge, maryland dental bridge and implant-supported dental bridge.

At Worsley Dental Centre we only use the highest grade implant materials, ensuring you get the best possible results with long lasting benefits. Using cheaper ineffective materials can cause pain and functionality issues in the future.

Why Choose A Dental Bridge?

Dental bridges are a fantastic option if a patient doesn’t have enough bone or some other medical condition which prevents them from getting a single dental implant. Bridges can be used temporarily if implants are being considered in the future.

No one enjoys losing teeth, but as we age this can be something unavoidable. Losing a tooth creates a gap in your smile that can affect your confidence, speech and the ability to eat your favourite foods.

Who is right for a dental bridge?

  • You have a missing tooth due to extraction or it has been knocked out.
  • You suffer with loose teeth due to gum disease.
  • You have dentures as a result from having some/multiple teeth removed.
  • You have a problematic crown that causes uncomfort.

Get Your Life Back!

Only you can understand the suffering involved from a missing tooth or multiple teeth. Dental bridges have changed the lives of thousands of people within the UK, giving them the freedom to smile again. The key benefits after treatment are:

  • Patients can eat all their favourite food.
  • Patients can speak with confidence.
  • Patients look younger.
  • Patients can smile again.
  • Patients feel a surge in confidence!

Treatment Journey

Consultation - Dr Esteban will carry out a full dental examination on the area that needs a dental bridge, this could include x-rays. Dr Esteban will see if your oral health can support implant treatments.

Step 2

Procedure - Dr Esteban will carefully prepare the area that will be having the dental bridge. This procedure is not painful and Dr Esteban will explain everything before your treatment goes ahead.

Step 3

Fitting - Once the area is prepared, Dr Esteban will fit the dental bridge. Dental bridges can last up to 15 years if correctly looked after.
